Real Stories,
Real Results
Hear from executives who transformed their careers and
lives through the Leadership Excellence Program.
The original Dynamic Improvement Program was delivered in person with measurable success.
The online Leadership Excellence Program is an adoption of that earlier program, updated and optimised for digital media.
“What a pleasure it is to work in an uncluttered office space. I find it is much easier to remain focussed in such an environment while the prominent daily “to do list” has helped remove the stress caused by overlooking some tasks.
The use of goal setting has been extremely rewarding both professionally and privately and has already cleared some “log jams” both at work and home.
After such a short time, I am amazed at the results and find myself carrying on like a reformed smoker, advising people that it is time they got organised with a bit of goal setting and a “things to do” list.”

“The most important impact this course has had on me is goal setting. That is the realisation of goals and achieving them. I had never set goals previously. I would use this experience to encourage others to set and achieve their own goals.”

“Completing the Goal Setting Matrix was the most beneficial aspect of the programme. It gave me a clear direction for the next twelve months as well as increasing my enthusiasm to achieve my goals. The matrix showed me that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

“The programme has made me aware of many aspects of my business and personal life that had become buried. I would recommend other staff members do the programme to rekindle their business and personal lives.”

“Some of my managers commented on being challenged by some of programme’s ideas and suggestion to test their personal routines. This is, I believe, exactly the environment that fosters productive improvements and change. I was very pleased with the outcomes of the programme, both personally, and from the Company’s prospective.”

Testimonials
The following case studies illustrate how the Action Circle Model has been applied in different organisational contexts.
Although the model has evolved in how it is visually expressed today, its core intent has remained unchanged in supporting leaders to move from awareness, through responsibility, into action.
These examples do not seek to attribute outcomes to the model, but to demonstrate how leadership thinking and behaviour can change when responsibility is taken seriously.
Case Study: Perth Based Food Distribution Centre
The Dynamic Improvement Programme, the forerunner to the current online offering, was delivered to the management team of a Perth-based food distribution centre as part of a broader leadership and capability development initiative.
The programme commenced with a series of structured group sessions supported by individual coaching, engaging senior executives within the state operation. Over time, the programme was extended to additional leaders, including supervisors who progressed into more senior roles in subsequent years. Ongoing coaching continued through leadership transitions, including the appointment of a new State Manager following the retirement of their predecessor.
Four years after the initial delivery, a review was undertaken with remaining participants. All reported having taken on increased responsibility during that period, accompanied by greater confidence and capability in leading people. Participants spoke of improved self-awareness, a more constructive leadership approach and a stronger sense of ownership in their roles.
A notable outcome was the development of a stronger sense of belonging within the organisation, reinforced by management initiatives introduced during the programme’s delivery. Participants indicated that workplace issues were addressed promptly and constructively and that unresolved problems were no longer a defining feature of the working environment.
At a personal level, several participants highlighted the ability to set and pursue meaningful goals, both professionally and personally. This included financial objectives as well as health and wellbeing goals, such as improved fitness and weight management. Participants noted that these changes had a direct and positive impact on their effectiveness at work, reflected in productivity outcomes within the Perth operation.
The leadership team was observed to be working cohesively, focusing on future direction rather than past issues. While challenges continued to arise, as they do in any organisation, team members demonstrated the confidence and willingness to address them openly and constructively.
Two further programme modules focusing on Teamwork and Leadership were subsequently delivered post the review to build on this foundation.

Case Study: Perth-Based Engineering Construction Company
The Dynamic Improvement Programme, the forerunner to the current online offering, was delivered to the management team of a Perth-based engineering construction company operating across Perth and regional Western Australia.
At the time, the privately owned business had grown from modest beginnings under its founder, a civil engineer, and was undertaking projects valued at several million dollars. The company had recently invested in new facilities and was operating across a range of civil construction activities, including roadworks, subdivision developments and landfill projects.
The programme was initially delivered to senior executives and subsequently extended to the next level of managers and professional staff following positive outcomes. Additional modules and individual coaching were provided to selected participants to support their ongoing development.
As changes in leadership behaviour and workplace dynamics became evident, the owner initiated a broader review to consider how the company might manage future growth in a deliberate and structured way. This work focused on leadership mindset, cultural alignment and long-term sustainability, recognising the depth of experience within the organisation and the loyalty of long-serving staff.
Through facilitated dialogue and reflection, the executive team developed a clearer view of future direction and the leadership practices required to support it. While the company’s growth over the following years exceeded anything anticipated at the time, neither the programme nor its participants sought to predict or shape that outcome. The work was concerned solely with leadership thinking, responsibility and decision-making at that point in the company’s journey.
At the time of this engagement, the Action Circle Model had already been developed and informed the structure of the Dynamic Improvement Programme, although it was not expressed in the visual form used today. The work focused on helping leaders develop greater awareness of their assumptions and behaviours, accept responsibility for leadership and cultural outcomes and take considered action in how they approached decision-making and growth. The model did not seek to predict future outcomes, but rather to support clearer thinking and responsible action at that point in the company’s journey.
Although no direct credit is claimed for the company’s subsequent expansion, the Dynamic Improvement Programme contributed to observable changes in leadership capability and mindset that prompted a deeper examination of how the company approached growth, culture and responsibility.
